Donna is chief architect of all development efforts of the Chester Fund, including annual, major and planned gifts as well as campaign planning and implementation. She manages the Chester Fund office and staff and guides the organization’s strategic direction.
Donna joins the Chester Fund with a successful 28-year track record in institutional advancement – the majority of it in the education sector. Most recently, she served as Vice President at Schultz & Williams, a national fundraising consulting firm, where she worked with clients of all types and played an active role in business development. For nine years, she was an independent fundraising consultant, offering particular expertise in strategic and campaign planning, volunteer management and new program creation.
Over a combined 16 years, Donna held increasingly senior positions at the University of Pennsylvania, including playing a central role in Penn’s historic $4.3 billion Making History campaign, serving as executive director of advancement for the School of Arts & Sciences (SAS), which raised $529 million in campaign funding. At SAS, she directed the alumni relations, major gifts, development communications, planned giving and donor relations staff and programs.
Donna earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a master’s degree in higher education administration & public policy from the University of Pennsylvania. She is member of the BalletX Board of Directors and lives with her two children in Glen Mills, PA.
